The cycling route with remarkable views and sceneries crosses the Veľká Fatra National
Park and belongs to the most beautiful MTC routes in Slovakia. The route begins in the town
of Ružomberok at the crossroad of multiple cycling routes. It almost immediately rises –
through Kalvária (Calvary) and over Hrabovo, it leads to Vlkolinske luky (Vlkolinec
meadows), where it crosses the yellow route No. 8419. It keeps rising further along the forest
routes, where forests are followed by beautiful meadow sections. Then it will take you to the
Nižné Šiprunské sedlo (Nižné Šiprunské Saddle). From the saddle, the route rises only
slightly through the natural reserve Jánošíkova kolkáreň (Jánošík’s Skittle Alley) to
Smrekovica. At this point, the route reaches the peak of the ascent. From Smrekovica, it only
goes downhill along an asphalt road to Podsuchá, where the route ends.
