The Turčiansko-Vážsko-Fatranská cesta (Turiec-Váh-Fatra Road) is an open cycling circuit
in the lower part of Turiec region. Its main characteristic feature is water. The cycling tour
begins in Sučany, following the Váh Diversion Channel to Krpeľany. A stop at the Krpeľany
Hydroelectric Power Plant and the Krpeľany Dam, where the Váh River splits into two, is
definitely worth it. Follow the Váh River to Nolčovo, then climb up to the Nolčovo Lookout
Tower, which offers a scenic view of the Turiec region and the Malá Fatra Mountains. The
steeply rising route from Konské through Sedlo Kopanica (Kopanica Saddle) will bring you to
Podhradie. The reward in the form of a long downhill through Podhradie to Schádzaná will
make you forget about the challenging climb.
