This low lookout tower in the form of a galvanised steel structure stands above the town of
Rajec, on the site of the original watchtower near Rajec Castle. You can reach the tower via
the educational trail “Around Rajec Castle”, which starts in Rajec, passes through the village
of Jasenové, continues up to the lookout tower, and then returns to Rajec. As you climb to
Dubová, you can learn about the flora, fauna and history of the area from the information
boards along the way.
If you would prefer a shorter trip to the lookout tower, start from the town centre and follow
the green tourist trail directly to it. The route takes about an hour and is 2.5 km long with an
elevation gain of 278 m.
