The wooden lookout tower above Strečno offers beautiful views of the Žilina Basin, the ridge
of the Malá Fatra Mountains, part of the Kysuce Highlands and the Strážov Mountains. You
can reach it following the yellow hiking trail. The tower is also located on the Strečnianský
chotár educational trail. The low lookout tower boasts a truly original view, as you can see
four castles from there, namely Strečno Castle, Starhrad Castle, Budatín Castle and Lietava
Castle. You can combine a walk to Špicák with a visit to the medieval Strečno Castle and its
surroundings, where you will find a relaxation area comprising the medieval village of
Paseka. In Strečno, you can enjoy wooden rafts on the Váh River or take a ferry across the
river.
