The wooden lookout tower with a rest area is located in the village of Novoť on the Modlový
Hill, on the site of a former air and ground observation post, which was demolished in 1956.
The outlook tower offers views of the Roháče Mountains, Babia hora, the Choč Mountains,
and Malý a Veľký Rozsutec. There is a gazebo and a swing near the lookout tower. Several
unmarked trails lead to the hill directly from the village.
You can combine your trip to the lookout tower with a visit to some of the other attractions in
the area. For example, you could visit the impressive lookout tower in the neighbouring
village of Zákamenné, the coffee museum in the nearby village of Krušetnica, or take a train
ride on the Forest Railway in Oravská Lesná.
