An easy walk with beautiful views. The valley is considered one of the most beautiful gorges in Slovakia. The Biela voda (literally “White Water”) stream creates a narrow canyon with smaller waterfalls. The gorge section in Juráňova Valley is also attractive thanks to the ladders, bridges, and chains along the trail, making it safe even for children. The return trail to Oravice leads through the neighbouring Bobrovec Valley, which is also accessible to visitors with limited mobility and young families with children. It is also accessible in winter via the Pod Suchou dolinou crossroads, but the gorges are closed. In winter, it is possible to make a circuit by connecting to the yellow tourist trail that bypasses the gorges in Juráňova Valley. Bobrovec Valley provides a wonderful view of some of the peaks of the Western Tatras and is exceptional mainly because there are warm springs that supply the thermal pools in Oravice.
Seasonal closure
Winter closure for a part of the Bobrovec Valley trail from the crossroads below Umrlá and the Gorges in Juráňova Valley from November to the end of May, or mid-June.
Parking
There is a parking lot directly at the entrance to the route.
