Cycling Route of Solidarity – from Raková to Medvedia skala

Kysuce

The Cycling Route of Solidarity connects Ján Palárik Square in the centre of the village of
Raková with a majestic rock wall called Medvedia skala (Bear Rock) located close to the
border with the Czech Republic. Its name is symbolic and refers to the massiveness of this
natural phenomenon. The route starts at Ján Palárik Square and follow the yellow cycling
route to the Korcháň area. From the cycling signpost Nad Kurajkou, the route leads all the
way to Medvedia Skala. If you continue for about 2 km, you will reach the Tetřev Lookout
Tower and hut and after another 2 km, you will arrive at the top of the Veľký Polom Hill. You
can return the same way you came, descend along the Kysucká Cycling Route to Klokočov,
or take an unmarked route to Mosty u Jablunkova (CZ).
