Lookout towers on the Turiec cycle route

Turiec

The first lookout tower Na Tŕní is located 7 km from Martin above the village of Turčianske
Jaseno. The village is home to the famous Ján Jessenius memorial room. If you continue
along the red cycle route, after 3 km you will come across the Na Kalníku lookout tower
above the village of Belá – Dulice and after another 5 km the Na Brotnici lookout tower,
located above Necpaly, on the so-called Slovak National Uprising Road towards Blatnica.
These three lookout towers are part of a cycle route that will take you to five lookout towers
in Turiec with gorgeous views of the Malá and Veľká Fatra Mountains.
During the cycling trip, you can visit the Notary Museum in Necpaly or 4 manor houses,
which are also located in the village of Necpaly. From the cycle route, you can also turn off to
one of the most famous valleys in Slovakia – Gader Valley, which is one of the longest in the
Veľká Fatra Mountains. As you wander through the valley, you will certainly notice the ruins
of Blatnica Castle and the Mlynčekovo rest area with its mills, located near the Gader
Stream. Blatnická and Necpalská Valleys are also popular, with the Revúcky Mlyn waterfall
located in Necpalská Valley.
