The stone and wooden lookout tower on Kamenité Hill (834 m above sea level) is located on
the main Javorníky ridge, directly on the hiking trail between the villages of Dlhá nad
Kysucou and Dlhé Pole. The lookout tower is named after its designer, Engineer Stanislav
Mikovčák. It was opened to the public in 2005 and is considered the first official lookout tower
for tourists in Kysuce.
The almost 8 m high lookout tower is easily accessible, making it an ideal destination for an
undemanding hike. It is also suitable for families with children. On clear days, it offers
beautiful views of the Kysuce Beskids, the Kysuce Highlands, the Malá Fatra Mountains and
the Tatras.
Thanks to its good accessibility, Three Wise Men’s hikes are regularly organised from all
directions. During the Christmas holidays, it is possible to find a decorated Christmas tree in
the lookout tower. The hike to Kamenité is easy and suitable for hikers, cyclists, and in winter
for cross-country skiers.
A small chapel with a bench is a few minutes' walk to the west of the lookout tower.
