The starting point of the route is in the village of Oravský Podzámok right under Orava
Castle, the landmark of the Orava region. It is one of the most visited and most beautiful
castles in Slovakia. The favourite attractions taking place at the castle are the scary night
tours and theatre performances. Many fairytale films were filmed here, such as Kráľ drozdia
brada (King Thrushbeard), Princezná a žobrák (The Princess and the Beggar), Sokoliar
Tomáš (Thomas the Falconer) and the first adaptation of the story about Dracula –
Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror. The route continues from Oravský Podzámok to the
village of Pribiš and then to Paseka. From there you continue through the areas of Tri Sosny
and Košárec where you can enjoy beautiful views of valleys and mountains from the
pastures. The route ends at the crossroads with the Vrchárska cycling route No. 042 in the
village of Malatiná.
