Osnica is one of the less visited summits of the Malá Fatra Mountains, as it forms an imaginary triangle with Rozsutec and Stoh and faces strong competition from surrounding mountains. It rises to 1,363 m, with a grassy summit, but at the top you will be surprised by a rocky outcrop that is not visible on the way up.
If you are looking for a quiet place with a perfect view of Veľký Rozsutec, Osnica is a choice you will not regret. The views from the summit are truly worth it. The first you will notice are the summits of Veľký Rozsutec and Stoh, with parts of the Malá Fatra ridge in the background, and on clear days, even the Low and Western Tatras, Babia Hora and Veľký Choč.
Osnica is accessible year-round via marked hiking trails from Štefanová, Zázrivá, or Párnica, and the ascent is not particularly difficult. The route from Párnica is the longest, but it is also the most scenic and least crowded.
