The Svätojánska lookout tower rises above the village of Liptovský Ján, offering views of the
entire village and the surrounding area. The lookout tower is made entirely of wood, and its
design is based on traditional Slovak architecture. It is located in Stráne above the cemetery,
beneath Kameničná Hill (829 m above sea level). You can reach it directly from the village or
from the Teplica thermal spring (via a bridge over the Štiavnica stream). A simple, well-
maintained trail leads to the lookout tower. It starts from the road near the cemetery, where
limited parking possibilities are also available. The route is easy, with minimal ascent, making
it suitable for both children and seniors.
During your visit to Liptovský Ján, it is also worth visiting Stanišovská Cave or the park with
miniatures of Slovak castles, châteaux, cultural monuments and an operational model of a
garden railway.
