The route starts in the Stráne district of the city of Martin. It is marked with yellow markers and leads uphill through the forest to the cottages on Martinské hole, where refreshments are available. From there, it is about a 30-minute walk to the Krížava transmitter, where the trail joins the red trail, which follows the main ridge of the Lúka section of the Malá Fatra Mountains through Zázrivá and Dlhá Lúka all the way to Minčol. The ridge alternates between forested sections and open meadows, offering beautiful views of the surroundings. From Minčol, the red trail descends to Okopy Saddle, where a World War II howitzer can be seen. From there, the trail descends further to Javorina and Rakytie Saddles. From Rakytie Saddle, it takes about 40 minutes to descend to Strečno Castle, where you can see the exhibition of the Považie Museum. The stunning views from the ridge of the Malá and Veľká Fatra Mountains, Žilina and Turiec Basins and the High and Low Tatras will delight every hiker.
