The Tank Road cycling route is visited throughout the year. It offers views of the whole
Turčianska kotlina (Turiec Basin) and you can see it crystal clear during good visibility. It is
attractive for cyclists, as there are two lookout towers – Pod Bokšínom and Na Tankovej
ceste, which together with three other lookout towers in the region create the Turiec
Lookouts Cycling Circuit. Not long ago, tanks and heavy military equipment used this road.
Today, it is a popular and sought-after cycling route. The route is of medium difficulty, and it
is recommended to use a trekking or a mountain bike.
